Wow, we have been busy. Here is a quick run down of what has been going on since my last post. I ran in the Race for the Cure, I wanted to finish the race (5K) in less than 1/2 hour. Keep in mind that my focus for the past year + has not been running but rather school work! So I did a pretty intense "training" and ran it is 29:45. When I turned the corner and saw 29 minutes on the screen....I was so excited, I kicked it in gear and got in there just in time. yahoo! I love running races, there is NOTHING like crossing that finish line.
Then we took a quick trip to Canada, you see none of us (except Dave) have passports. So I wanted to get up there before we couldn't go anymore. I have sent away for my passport, should be here in a few weeks. I still need to send away for the kids'. I need to find time to take them to get their pictures taken. ARGH. Hopefully next week or two, we can take them to twon and get that done.
We had fun time in Canada, caught up with some old friends that I don't get to see all the time. The weather was perfect and it was just so nice to just relax. An old family friend makes the cutest crafts and so I had to buy a darling cute Canadian Flag wooden sign. I'll have to take pictures and post one. Thanks Pam! I love it and have gotten so many compliments on it! :-)
On our way up to Canada we dropped off one of Tennyson's horses to a new home near Browning. I think this will be a good place for him. He will be able to get riden alot. Wow, down one more horse. We still have 5 but maybe we can get rid of a couple more old plugs. We are looking into putting in an roping arena for the kids (ya right, really it will be for Dave and I). :-) That is the next project we have on the horizon. Next week we are getting our deck redone...yahoo. Dave's cousins husband is a carpenter and is coming over to do it. It will be so nice, I cannot wait.
This past weekend we went to Hamilton to Dave's little cousins high school graduation. It was hot and long! They had 150 graduates....what? That is a ton of kids but Julia looked beautiful and it was fun to see that side of the family. It was a fun day for a road trip. The weather was perfect!
This weekend, I am going to Helena again to run in the Governor's Cup. I have not run in this race before, so I'm excited. I think another lady and I from WW are going to go over together. Since I have no clue where the start of the race is or where to pick up registration packets, it is probably best that I go with someone else. I would like to run this in less than 27 minutes, I think I'm setting my sights a little high but why not?
We are on the count down, last week of school. I wish school was already over. I hate that we go into the 1st week of June. Yuck! I am so excited for summer, I have so many projects lined up for the house. I hope I can get most of my list checked off. It is so fun to actually have a summer this year. Last year, I spent most of the summer in Billings, going to school. Yah for summer and summer vacation. I only work 2 days/week in the summer, so we will have plenty of time for playing. :-)
Here are a few pictures of Emmy lately.
Here are some pictures of Emmy's new bike. This was one of the best things that would could have gotten for her. We went to Great Falls about a month ago and she saw this bike that she loved. She zooms around all over the place these days.
Since we got Emmy a sweet new bike, we decided to get Tenny one too. He got his on our way home from Canada after the long weekend. I'll post pictures of that one later. They are both set for a few years...I love it! :-) I think Tennyson's bike is big enough to fit me too. I love that he's getting so big and can share things with me.
Here are some pictures of Emmy playing baseball. She is really starting to get good. Her little team, are a bunch of rock stars! They are getting so fun to watch. In one of her games, she has 2 of the 3 outs, she played 1st base that inning. She usually gets a hit too.
Today and k-2nd grade Field Day. Here are some pictures of Emmy and her doings at the field day. She did great and looked like she was having a great time!
I am so excited for summer, I only wish it felt like summer today. It is only about 50 degrees here today...BRRRR, especially after having such beautiful weather all weekend!
Wow! This is quite the post.
Have a great day. Make it count!
Candice

Wow - can we say our lives are pretty similar?! I made one of those cute Canada flags at Pam's (love it); we are also rebuilding a deck (so exciting); just barely got the old passports done (what a pain in the a); watching Daine play baseball...
And Emmy is so cute - and growing sooo fast! Love her bike too! Say hi to the fam!
Emmy is growing up so quickly! She's absolutely darling! I love reading your posts... you capture so well just how crazy life is. Hope you get to relax a little this summer!
