The Waiting Game & the Life of a Student
Here is a picture of Tenny with his BIG red heifer, this is how big she was this summer. Hopefully I'll have pictures to post soon of babies!
ON another note, school is killing me! I have so much to do between now & April 1st. I hope I can get it all done. I'm on the countdown but there is so much to do between now and May........it is scary!!!
Today has been a crazy day in Deer Lodge. We have had a few storms roll in & out...snow & all. Now it is, sunny and looks quite nice outside. It is so true - don't like the weather, wait five minutes and it will change! Does that mean weather is bi-polar?
Have a GREAT day!

This & That...
Last night we had our Enrichment RS Birthday Party. It was great fun. We did the theme party of you are "Purse"onally invited. The poster a purse and the invites were purses.....so cute! And of course, everyone had to bring their purse and we played some fun games. For our little branch, we had a great turn-out. It was fun & even a few people told me how much fun they had. Success, I would say!
Since I'm the RS President, I was asked to give little something something on RS. So, one day in my efforts to avoid anything productive, I found this awesome video/song on Youtube. You have to view it. If it doesn't bring you to tears. I don't know if it the commentary by Pres. Monson but I freakin' love him & I love love love this song & video.
In the words of President Monson:
"My Dear Sisters, do not pray for tasks equal to your abilities.
Pray for abilities equal to your tasks"
Oh I love it, I hope you do too!

AMAZING
Amazing Grace
Enjoy!
When you thought............
Enjoy!
A message every adult should read because children
are watching you and doing as you do, not as you say..
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you hang my
first painting on the refrigerator, and I immediately
wanted to paint another one.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you feed a
stray cat, and I learned that it was good to be kind
to animals.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you make my
favorite cake for me, and I learned that the little
things can be the special things in life.
When you thought I wasn't looking I heard you say a
prayer, and I knew that there is a God I could always
talk to, and I learned to trust in Him.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you make a
meal and take it to a friend who was sick, and I
learned that we all have to help take care of each
other.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you give of
your time and money to help people who had nothing,
and I learned that those who have something should
give to those who don't.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you take care
of our house and everyone in it, and I learned we have
to take care of what we are given.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw how you
handled your responsibilities, even when you didn't
feel good, and I learned that I would have to be
responsible when I grow up.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw tears come
from your eyes, and I learned that sometimes things
hurt, but it's all right to cry.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw that you
cared, and I wanted to be everything that I could be.
When you thought I wasn't looking I learned most of
life's lessons that I need to know to be a good and
productive person when I grow up.
When you thought I wasn't looking I looked at you and
wanted to say,'Thanks for all the things I saw when
you thought I wasn't looking.'
I AM SENDING THIS TO ALL OF THE PEOPLE I KNOW
WHO DO SO MUCH FOR OTHERS,
BUT THINK THAT NO ONE EVER SEES.
LITTLE EYES SEE A LOT ..
Each of us -
parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, teacher, friend
- influences the life of a child.
Live simply..
Love generously.
Care deeply.
Speak kindly.
Leave the rest to God

I could swear it is Spring.................
We had a fun busy weekend. Dave played in a basketball tourney this weekend, it was a fund-raiser tourney for the Deer Lodge Athletic Association. He loves to play so much and we enjoy watching him. The kids loved living at the gym all weekend. They took second place and played a pretty good game. They are all "old" men on Dave's team, still living the dream, I guess.
Life has been busy with school, work and kids. Life is just BUSY, do you know what I mean? I am trying to prioritize what I'm involved in and figuring out what my priorities are. I like to be involved but I'm getting to the point where I feel maybe it is better to just my time a few causes and do it well rather than to more, not as effectively.
I'm feeling very tired and overwhelmed these days. I am in my last semester of my course work for my Masters and it is hard hard hard work. A few of my classes are completely kicking my butt. Good thing I'm stubborn, competitive and tenacious! Cuz I'm NO quitter. Even though right now I want to quite!
I guess you could say School is my Passion right now? What are you passionate about?
Have a great day! Make it the time of your life.

Daisy-Head Mayzie
There is no one alive who is youer than you.
Have you ever tried Green Eggs & Ham? I did today and it's not too bad, I ate them all up. The teacher brought in eggs and she put lots of green food coloring in them and she fried them up with some ham! Voula! There you have it, GREEN Eggs & Ham.
What is your favorite Dr. Seuss Book?
Today I read Daisy-Head Mayzie to the children in the class. Such a cute story! Then we watched the movie of The Sneetches. What a wonderful moral behind that quirky little story.
I love DR. Seuss & I love his stories.
He is definitely on of my favorite children authors. I have many but he ranks among the top.
So do share, what is your favorite Seuss story? or Seussism?

Spring Break......Smring BREAK!
Speaking of a BREAK, I need a break, I'll take a few nights off. Maybe that'll do me good.
We had a nice relaxing weekend. I worked on a Mid-term all day yesterday and Dave spent the day with the kids. We vaccinated Tenny's heifers and that went well. Then Dave took Emmy to the gym to shoot some hoops. Tennyson & his friends went outside to do chores, it was probably around 3:30 or 4:00pm and John's horse was down. He was rolling near the barn and got stuck on his side, between the barn door and the ground and couldn't get up! I was completely panicked. I didn't know what to do & I knew Dave wouldn't answer his phone while he was at the gym, so I called our neighbor/friend and he came over and helped me roll the horse over. I didn't think I could roll him over by myself and I was just praying that the old SOB wouldn't die on me. That is all I could think of was doing die on my watch! I hate that feeling of helplessness! Have you ever felt so helpless, you absolutely didn't know what to do. I hated the feeling, absolutely hated it. I am so Thankful for good neighbors that are willing to come help whenever you need them. I know I sounded like an idiot on the phone, I was FREAKin' out! :-) But I think he understood. He knows me well. ha ha!
I am glad we can raise our kids are animals and let them learn about life through giving and caring for them. Tennyson heifers are about ready to calf and that will be so exciting and soon the kids will be getting their little 4-h pigs. I truly do love this time of year, I can feel it Spring is right around the corner. I sometimes wish, that we got nice spring weather but I live in Montana, so I'll take whatever Spring-like weather we can get here. WE got snow last week...that's about as good as Spring weather gets here!
Well enjoy your week! Even if it isn't your Spring Break. Enjoy it like it was your Spring Break and take a vaction....even if its a virtual vacation or just a little getaway...to the bath or a quiet place.
